Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our premium pasture-raised meats
How is your meat packaged for shipping?
Our products are vacuum-sealed and shipped in insulated coolers with dry ice or gel packs to ensure they arrive at a safe, refrigerated temperature.
Is your meat fresh or frozen?
We primarily ship fresh, never-frozen meat. However, some specialty items or high-demand periods may require flash-freezing to maintain peak quality during transit.
Where do you source your livestock?
We partner exclusively with local family farms in Kentucky and Tennessee that adhere to strict animal welfare standards and pasture-raising practices.
Do you use hormones or antibiotics?
No. All Porter Road products are hormone-free and antibiotic-free. Our animals are raised humanely on a natural diet.
Can I customize my subscription box?
Yes, our subscription service allows you to choose your favorite cuts, set your delivery frequency, and swap items at any time through your account dashboard.
How long can I keep the meat in the refrigerator?
Because our meat is vacuum-sealed, most cuts will stay fresh for up to 7 days in the refrigerator. For longer storage, we recommend freezing upon arrival.
